OUR PROJECTS
OUR STORIES:
1) Pharmaceutical Industry Integrator — Metered Dose Aerosols SPM & Handling Systems
Supported a UK-based pharmaceutical systems integrator delivering Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) and high-throughput handling equipment for multinational pharma manufacturers. IO Engineering produced manufacturing-ready electrical/control panel designs and updated control documentation to match strict project documentation and change-control environments. A key part of the delivery was establishing a clean EPLAN project structure using (location/function-oriented), improving drawing navigation, traceability, and reuse across machine variants and repeat orders.
Typical outputs: EPLAN schematics, panel layouts, I/O lists, cable/terminal plans, BOMs, and structured project templates aligned to integrator standards.

2) Automotive OEM Retrofit — Legacy PDF Conversion to Structured EPLAN + Drawing Standardisation
Delivered a retrofit documentation upgrade for an automotive OEM environment where legacy electrical information existed mainly as PDFs and mixed-quality CAD exports. IO Engineering converted the legacy packs into a structured EPLAN project, rebuilding circuits with consistent device tagging, page structure, and cross-references to create a maintainable “single source of truth.” We also standardised the documentation set (templates, title pages, symbol usage, terminal and cable schedule outputs) so future modifications could be engineered faster and with fewer commissioning queries.
Value delivered: improved maintainability, faster fault-finding, reduced rework during upgrades, and clearer handover documentation for ongoing plant support.

3) Automotive Integrator — Hybrid Engine & EV Battery End-of-Line Test Machinery (JLR / FMC Standards)
Supported an automotive integrator designing complex test and validation machinery for hybrid powertrain and EV battery systems. IO Engineering delivered electrical design and control panel documentation aligned to major OEM standards (including JLR and FMC conventions), with strong focus on interface definition between safety, controls, instrumentation, and high-integrity testing sequences. Work included structured EPLAN documentation, robust I/O definition, and clear separation of functional areas to support multi-station test equipment, commissioning workflows, and long-term serviceability.
Typical outputs: electrical schematics, control panel design support, network architecture, I/O and cable schedules, standardised drawing structure to match OEM templates and release processes.

4) Food Industry Integrator — Tea Production Control Panels (UK) with Zeppelin GmbH Equipment
Delivered electrical and control panel design support for a UK tea production facility using process equipment designed by Zeppelin GmbH. IO Engineering produced control panel drawings and documentation suitable for manufacturing and site installation, with emphasis on clean, serviceable documentation for plant maintenance teams. The project required clear
